About Us

Dr Adanna Amechi-Obigwe is board-certified in family medicine and practiced full spectrum for over five years with the Famous Mayo health systems in Saint James, where she received recognitions in patient satisfaction and Diabetes Mellitus care.

As an active member of the Minnesota Association of Family Physicians, she worked as a part of a committee to organize the Annual Winter Conferences for three years and enjoyed precepting Family Medicine Residents at the Mankato Family Medicine Residency.

Dr. Adanna Amechi-Obigwe made Vernon Texas her home when she started the Vernon Clinic in 2012.

During this time the Vernon Clinic has received the highest level of care with the Bridges to Excellence in Diabetes Care and the Texas Physician Practice Award in Quality Improvement. In September 2017, Vernon Clinic moved its location to the Historic Hillcrest Clinic location.

Dr. Adanna Amechi-Obigwe is active with the Texas Academy of Family Physicians and continues to be passionate about rural health care.
